The bough shelter and barbecue have now been installed as a part of the Darminning (Ranford) Pool improvements, providing a welcoming space to gather, relax, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
The bough shelter is a meaningful addition to the site, acknowledging the Aboriginal heritage of the area. Constructed primarily from locally sourced natural timbers, it reflects traditional materials and craftsmanship while incorporating modern elements to ensure durability and long-term usability.
The next stages of the project will include the installation of a composting toilet and the development of laterite pathways, enhancing accessibility and sustainability at the site.
