Register Now for Small Business Workshop in Ararat

Ararat Jobs & Technology Precinct will host Business Victoria’s Starting Your Small Business workshop next month.

This free three-hour workshop aims to help small business owners and entrepreneurs wanting to build a solid base for their business.

The workshop will cover setting up a business for success, including choosing and registering the ideal business name, as well as selecting the right shopfront, office or online platform.

The session will guide participants through the process of creating a business outline to help showcase their products or services, and a step-by-step action plan to guide their small business journey from idea to launch.

Workshop participants will also learn about the importance of business insurance and how to select the right coverage.

The workshop will be facilitated by Business Victoria’s Duncan Vincent, who has close 30 years’ experience as a business development professional, trainer, facilitator, coach, franchisor, and business owner.

Ducan brings first-hand experience using the training content and knowledge he shares and has facilitated numerous workshops and training programs in Australia and 11 countries in South Asia. His focus areas include generating cash flow, customer service, recruitment, staff development, online business, and resilience.

The workshop will be held at the Ararat Jobs & Technology Precinct, 3/5 Laby Street, Ararat on Tuesday 1 April, from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

Those interested in attending will need to register online via Council’s website: www.ararat.vic.gov.au/business-support

“I’d strongly encourage those seeking support with starting their small business journey to register for this workshop,” says Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong.

“This is a really great opportunity to gain expert advice and learn about the practical tools needed to launch and run a successful small business.”
