Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison Assists with Illegal Dumping Clean-Up

A team from the Section 95 work crew at Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison visited Kambalda to assist with an illegal dumping clean-up. Their focus was on the bushland behind Saltbush Road, where they removed a large amount of discarded household waste and other rubbish.
This type of supervised activity allows prisoners the opportunity to learn new skills in a new environment, while giving back to our local community.
Illegal dumping is an ongoing issue that damages the environment and community spaces. It also carries significant fines. The Shire of Coolgardie reminds residents that the Kambalda and Coolgardie Waste Facilities accept all residential waste free of charge.
