Tourism operators and enthusiasts from across the Wollondilly Shire are invited to the first Tourism Connect event for the year at the brand-new Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday 19 March at 6pm.
Wollondilly Tourism Connect was launched in early 2024 and is a key networking event aimed at enhancing the visibility and economic growth of the local tourism industry.
With a focus on Wollondilly’s night time economy, guest speakers at the upcoming event will include Josh Matthews from Destination NSW, Raina Savage from the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre, and Chris Morris from Council’s Strategic Planning team.
The evening will include a guided tour of the new venue and information booths for Service NSW, Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce, Picton Alive, Visit Wollondilly, and Council’s Night Time Economy discussion paper feedback.
Local businesses PB Catering and The Sweet Spot by Gab will provide some delicious food for the night and attendees will receive a complimentary drink on arrival.
Mayor Matt Gould said, “Wollondilly Tourism Connect is a fantastic opportunity to network with industry professionals and likeminded local businesses.”
“I’m excited to be able to host this event at the amazing Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre, which is already bringing visitors to the Shire with some sold out shows in recent weeks.”
“I encourage all our local tourism operators to come and check it out while they spend this valuable time together.”
