Draft Land Management Plan – Borzi Park Mareeba

RESEREVE FOR CULTURAL PURPOSES, PARK AND RECREATIONAL – R1267 BEING LOT 421 ON SP254843 FENWICK STREET, MAREEBA DRAFT LAND MANAGEMENT PLAN

Mareeba Shire Council has developed a draft Land management Plan for Reserve for Cultural Purposes, Park and Recreational – R1267 being Lot 421 on SP254843, situated at Fenwick Street Mareeba.

The Land Management Plan describes the existing uses and infrastructure located on the Reserve and set out the Council’s intentions, as Trustee of the Reserve, with respect to management of the land according to its gazetted use and in accordance with the provisions of the Mareeba Shire Planning Scheme. The Land Management Plan provides for the continued activity on the Reserve of various sporting and community groups, with the inclusion of a Caretaker at the Mareeba & District Pony Club leased premises.

The draft plan is open for public comment for a period of 28 days and can be accessed via Council’s website below. A copy of the document is also available at Mareeba and Kuranda Libraries. Submissions in relation to the draft plan will close at 5.00PM on Tuesday 15 April 2025 and should be forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer, Mareeba Shire Council, PO BOX 154 Mareeba Queensland 4880.
