Sunday Music Session will Showcase Young Colac Otway Musicians
Colac Otway Shire Council’s Youth Engagement team will deliver its next Youth Music Session this Sunday, 23 March.
Featuring local musicians from across the Shire, this weekend’s lineup includes The Zodiaks, Gilly & Sarah, Audrey Foley, Tyler, Francine, CAIDEN.B, The Elliminations, Would it be funny if we did this?, and godspeed!.
The Youth Music Sessions aim to provide a platform for young musicians to share their passion and creativity with the community. Gigs have recently been held at the Birregurra and Gellibrand weekend markets.
Council’s Youth Engagement team continues to provide opportunities for Colac Otway Shire’s young people to shine; the annual Youth Photography Competition draws hundreds of entries, and an upcoming Art Competition will culminate in a public exhibition at Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre.
Colac Otway Shire Council’s General Manager Community and Economy Ian Seuren said events like these provide a platform for young artists.
“Colac Otway Shire Council is proud to support these events and promote the incredible creativity and passion of our young people,” Mr Seuren said.
“It’s important that we celebrate local talent and provide an opportunity to bring people together.”
The Youth Music Sessions are proudly supported by Colac Otway Shire Council and Engage!
This weekend’s event starts at 11.30am at Lake View Café Colac.
