The Shire of Coolgardie recently hosted a successful girls-only event that saw a wonderful turnout of local girls aged 10 to 17. The event, held at the community centre, aimed to foster creativity, self-care, and a sense of empowerment in the young participants.
The day’s activities included two exciting hands-on workshops: making coffee face scrubs and crafting personalized perfume rollers. The workshops were designed to teach the girls the importance of self-care while encouraging them to explore their creativity.
The coffee face scrub workshop was a hit, with participants learning how to create their own natural skincare products using simple ingredients like coffee grounds, coconut oil, and essential oils. The girls embraced the DIY experience, gaining valuable knowledge about skincare and the benefits of using natural ingredients.
In the second workshop, the participants had the opportunity to create their own custom perfume rollers, blending essential oils to make unique scents that reflected their personalities. The workshop not only taught the girls about the art of fragrance blending but also encouraged them to experiment with different aromas, creating personalized products to take home.
