New Contractor to Recommence the Floreat Surf Life Saving Club Project

Published on 10 April 2025

The Town of Cambridge is pleased to advise we have engaged a new contractor to recommence the Floreat Surf Life Saving Club redevelopment, following the liquidation of Contstruct360, as announced on 14 February 2025.

The Town has agreed a new contract for the works with Kilmore Group and works are expected to commence in mid-May and are expected to be completed by mid-December 2025.

At the end of February, the Town issued an addendum to the original Request for Tender, inviting all previous respondents to submit updated proposals to take on the remainder of the project.

Four submissions were received and evaluated by the Town. Kilmore Group were considered the preferred respondent after consideration of revised timeframes, ability to re-engage existing subcontractors and ability to minimise delays and impacts on the Floreat Surf Life Saving Club.

Despite the three month delay, the Town is confident that we will continue to meet our grant funding obligations for the project, ensuring those funds are maintained to support the project. We thank the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural industries and Lotterywest for their support as we have worked through this process.

The Town recognises the importance of the Floreat Surf Life Saving Club to the community and in supporting beachgoers to enjoy the ocean safely.

We thank the Floreat Surf Life Saving Club and its members for their continued support.
