Thinking of nominating as a candidate at the September Local Government Elections?

Members of the public who are interested in becoming a Councillor at the forthcoming Local Government elections on Saturday 4 September 2021 are invited to register for one of two Pre-Election Candidate Briefing Workshops.  “While the remote presentation is not the preferred option, it does give a degree of certainty to the times, dates, and availability of the facilitator in these uncertain times,” said General Manager, Lester Rodgers. “It is important that candidates understand that Council staff are not permitted to answer enquiries specifically relating to Councillor nomination forms or assist in filling it out election documentation – this must be done through the NSW Electoral Commission,” said Mr Rodgers. If you would like to register for one of the workshops, download and fill out the Registration Form and return by emailing [email protected] or post to PO BOX 420, Moree NSW 2400.
