Only one week ‘til Australia Day

Orange Hawkweed flowering season
One of the most highly invasive emerging biosecurity threats in our region is at the height of its flowering season.
Throughout summer the plant bears bright orange flowers in tight clusters of four or more. There are black hairs on the stems and the leaves that enclose the base of the flower heads.
Please keep an eye open when you’re out and about enjoying the warm weather. If you think you’ve spotted Orange Hawkweed please call us on 1300 345 345 anytime and our biosecurity team will get onto it.
