Advisory Committees We want to thank members of our Advisory Committees for volunteering your time to represent our community during the 2021-2024 Council term. Vacation of OfficeAt the end of each term of Council, all offices and advisory roles (memberships) within our committees are vacated. This year, all offices were vacated at 11:59 pm on 13 September 2024. For those of you who have so generously volunteered your time over many years, this process will not be unfamiliar. Committees in the futureFollowing the declaration of results of the 2024 Local Government Election, Council staff will swear in and induct our newly elected Councillors. An important matter that will be presented to the new Councillors early in their term is the structure and role of Council’s advisory committees. Once the newly elected Council has determined the advisory committees that are to operate during the 2024-2028 Council term, an expression of interest process for membership of the advisory committees will commence. If you are interested in serving on an advisory committee of Council during the 2024-2028 Council term, please keep a look out for advertisements for the expression of interest process. We expect to advertise on, at least, our website and social media channels. Thank you, once again, for volunteering your time to serve our community during the 2021-2024 Council term.
