You better watch out and you better be good because Santa Claus is coming to Liverpool in a spectacular countdown to Christmas that will leave you sleighed.
Liverpool’s colourful Christmas in the Mall will turn on the festive cheer in Macquarie Mall from 5pm to 10pm on 29 November to 1 December.
The special guests during three exciting days when Yule have fun with Santa Claus and Mrs Claus.
They made the long trip from the North Pole in their sleigh to meet Liverpool’s boys and girls and hear what they would like to find under their tree on Christmas morning.
A couple of elves might have snuck onto the sleigh as well and maybe there’ll be a glimpse of Rudolph, so have your ‘elf a merry little Christmas, and there may also be time to take an ‘elfie.
“Christmas is a wonderful time of the year for everyone big or small,” said Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun.
“It’s a time when we can put larger problems and issues to one side for a moment and look for the peace and contentment that Christmas brings.
“Christmas is a special time of year: Santa graces you with his presents!
“I express the hope that just about everyone in Liverpool will find something to be happy about at Christmas time.”
Macquarie Mall will come to life during the three days of Christmas celebrations.
There will be carol singing with established performers leading the crowd in familiar tunes – but wait, there’s myrrh.
Join in the Christmas-themed movie marathon and a children can have fun with face painting, arts and crafts.
Santa will be there for photographs and to have a chat and he’ll also pick up the letters children can write to him in the Mall about their plans for Christmas and the gifts they would like him to bring.
