Have your say on the future of Broken Hill

Published on 25 February 2025

The city's Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is due for review and locals are invited to have their say on the city's future.

The CSP is a strategic plan informed by the community that sets the direction and goals for the city until 2040.

Council will host an online survey, an open day, and a series of community pop-ups to give locals the chance to provide feedback.

Council's Community Development Officer, Alison Howse, encouraged everyone to provide input on this important strategy for the city.

"The CSP is the most important plan to provide strategic direction for Council, and also lets other major organisations and services in the city know what the local community want to see for the future," said Ms Howse.

"Although Council is the custodian of the plan, it actually belongs to the whole community and is informed by locals, so it's important as many people as possible have input.

"This is an ideal chance for everyone to talk about the big-picture things they want to see happen in Broken Hill over the next 15 years."
