Interruption to Traffic and Water for Urgent Water Mains Repairs

Council will be conducting urgent water mains repairs on Chifley Road, Lithgow, just after the turn off to Hartley Valley Road from 7:30am tomorrow morning (Thursday 9th April).

There may be minor traffic delays as the area will be under stop/go traffic control while works are underway.

Council cannot advise a time for the completion of repairs but will aim to minimise the period of disruption.

Upon return to normal service, residents may experience dirty water for a period. Council will endeavour to minimise this by flushing the mains. Before using the water for domestic purposes, residents are advised to run the first tap that services their property to ensure the water is clean and any dirt released into the system has been flushed before running internal taps.
