Upcoming Scheduled Works  Temporary Road Closure of Balo Street for Remembrance Day Commemorations Moree Plains Shire Council wish to inform you of a temporary road closure on Balo Street to facilitate the Remembrance Day ceremony on Monday, 11 November 2024.This annual event is an important occasion for our community to honour and remember the service and sacrifices of our armed forces.Closure Details:Date: Monday, 11th November 2024Time: 10:00 am to 11:30 amLocation: Balo Street Heber Street to Gwydir Street (Traffic lights to Coles service station)Council apologise for the short notice, as we have only just been notified of the change in ceremony location from the Services Club to the Memorial Hall. Stage One - Installation of New Transformer at 28 Balo Street We wish to advise of a change to traffic conditions as of Monday 18 November 2024.Council will commence the underground works associated with the installation of the new transformer.During this time the Wesley Lane, will be closed from Heber Street to the Moree Memorial Hall. Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Sunday and is expected to be completed in four weeks, weather permitting.Changed traffic conditions including intermittent stop/slow and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h may be in place during work hours.
