Liverpool City Council’s Thank You Gala Dinner postponed

Liverpool City Council’s Thank You Gala Dinner postponed

Liverpool City Council today announced its Thank You Gala Dinner has been postponed and will now take place on Friday 27 August at Liverpool Catholic Club.Council’s decision to postpone the sold-out event is in direct response to advice from NSW Health amidst the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Greater Sydney.Mayor of Liverpool Wendy Waller said the decision to postpone was necessary yet disappointing given the fantastic response Council received for this event after the 2020 Charity Ball was cancelled.“We are delighted with the significant support from sponsors including our diamond sponsor Liverpool Catholic Club, local businesses and the community at large for our Thank You Gala Dinner which has now sold-out.“We want our guests to be able to have the best possible experience at our Thank You Gala Dinner, one of South West Sydney’s premier black-tie networking events.“Even after we emerge from NSW Health’s stay-at-home orders, COVID-19 restrictions are likely to remain in place which will have a significant impact on the delivery of the event.“We look forward to resuming our celebrations at this later date," Mayor Waller said.
