Return of Council events attracts strong crowds

Love Summer, a picnic-style evening festival series held on Friday and Saturday nights over three weekends, signalled the triumphant return of public events for Liverpool City Council.Love Summer, which wrapped up on Saturday 13 March, was hugely popular among residents in and around Liverpool who turned out in droves to enjoy local food trucks, performers, garden games, a beer garden and open-air cinema.“After a difficult year with many celebrations migrating online, Love Summer was a new initiative from Council marking the return of many of Liverpool’s favourite events,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.“We are thrilled to see how much Love Summer resonated with the community with tickets to each weekend selling out in a matter of days.
