Sydney Chat Fest a real talking point at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre

March 6, 2020New Sydney Chat Fest a real talking point at Casula Powerhouse Arts CentreThey’re in your ear every day, but later this month some of your favourite ABC Radio Sydney presenters will also be in your face at the inaugural Sydney Chat Fest. And they’ve chosen Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre to host a carefully curated outing. On Sunday March 29, join ABC personalities Wendy Harmer, H.G Nelson, James Valentine, Richard Glover, Sarah Macdonald, Robbie Buck and Jeremy Fernandez along with special guests as they take you through an eclectic array of events guaranteed to make you think, reflect, laugh and rejoice.“This should be a great day out, really entertaining and illuminating and a lot of fun for everyone,” Liverpool mayor Wendy Waller said.“It’s a real coup for CPAC to host the first of these innovative events.”From reporting on bushfires, to the marginalisation of ageing women in a youth-obsessed society and a tongue-in-cheek peep inside the workings of the Even Greater Sydney Planning Committee, the day promises insight and ideas with loads of laughs along the way.“This is the new chatty festival to make you laugh and think,” CPAC Director Craig Donarski said.Richard Glover will be bringing along three very funny guests for an instalment of the current affairs driven comedy panel Thank God It’s Friday On Sunday while Sarah Macdonald will be hosting the Evenings Quiz This Afternoon – and that one’s free. There will be more free events announced soon, but the ticketed events are very nicely priced at just $35 for a morning or afternoon session, or $60 for the whole day.“This festival is all about great stories and sharing a laugh.
