28 winning Liverpool business owners and employees were all smiles at last night’s annual Liverpool City Local Business Awards.Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the annual awards were a chance to recognise the business community’s contribution to Liverpool’s growth.“The Liverpool City Local Business Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise our established businesses and the dedication that owners and staff have put in to helping shape our city and its growing economy,” Mayor Waller said.“From restaurants serving cuisine from across the globe to clothing stores, salons and real estate agencies, more than 14,000 businesses currently operating in our city are fundamental in establishing Liverpool as an important economic hub.“I’d like to extend a huge congratulations to our winners and finalists of this year’s Liverpool City Local Business Awards.“We’ve got Western Sydney Airport being built in our backyard, investment in world-class health and education institutions.
