‘Under the Vines’:  Moree and Mungindi Come Alive

Deputy Mayor Councillor Susannah Pearse said, “To kick off ‘Under the Vines’ on Saturday 26 February, local artists Jacqualyn Lillyman and Rachel Cubis will be performing along with traditional indigenous dancers in the Moree CBD/Balo Street from 9 am to 1 pm”. “We have also been lucky enough to engage Brisbane-based roving street entertainment group Big Top Entertainment Company who are providing a range of performers including superheroes, clowns, jugglers, stilt walkers, unicyclists and more exciting activities for families to enjoy.” “Following discussions with the Chamber of Commerce, many Moree businesses have extended their trading hours to 1 pm on Saturday, allowing the community an opportunity to support our small businesses and to accommodate for the event”, added Councillor Pearse. Councillor Pearse said these events are also a great opportunity for some new performers to get exposure in front of an audience and build their confidence and gain experience.
