Every drop counts! Water savings sought

Every drop counts! Water savings sought

While rainfall in 2020 has been heavier than in previous years and dam levels are close to capacity, water remains a precious resource and we can all do our bit to conserve it.What is Council doing? We carried out water audits at some of Council’s highest using sites including Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park and high use sportsgrounds.  As a result, we’ve upgraded several locations and this year we expect to make a combined annual water savings of over 3,100kL which equals savings close to a whopping $10,000 per year. Some of the improvements we’ve made include:Sydney Lakeside Holiday Park Water efficient showers installed at both amenities blocks and a number of holiday cabins.Rainwater harvesting systems at the amenities blocks for toilet flushing.
