Local seniors encouraged to attend ‘Get Ready’ presentation

Disaster and emergency preparedness presentations are being held in Cooma, Jindabyne and Bombala this month for Snowy Monaro seniors.The three-hour sessions will provide seniors practical steps to better equip themselves to respond in emergencies such as bushfires, floods and snowstorms.Older regional and rural residents can be particularly vulnerable to disasters and emergencies, but having a plan and being well-prepared can make all the difference.
