You are here: HomeNews Articles2019February 2019 Level 3 water restrictions for Bendemeer Wednesday, 20 February 2019 Residents of Bendemeer will be limited to only 15 minutes of daily outdoor watering between 6pm and 8pm from Monday next week when Level 3 Water Restrictions come into effect.Tamworth Regional Council Director Water and Waste Bruce Logan said the Macdonald River – Bendemeer’s primary water source – has stopped flowing and prompted the tightened of water restrictions.“Under Council’s Drought Management Plan, the introduction of Level 3 Water Restrictions is triggered when there is zero daily flow of the Macdonald River,” he said.“The Airlie Road bore, the town’s back up water supply, is being prepared and tested for used this week to be brought into service and ensure the Bendemeer community has the water they need for their daily use.”In addition to the reduced time allowed for watering outdoors with a hose, under Level 3 Water Restrictions: All use of sprinklers is banned – including sprinklers, sprays, microjet sprays, fixed hoses and subsurface dripper systems.
