Energy Co Delivers Grants to Cassilis future infrastructure Published on 11 April 2025 Cassilis is set to benefit from a substantial $11.2 million funding boost, with the NSW Government confirming on Friday that Upper Hunter Shire Council’s applications to the Legacy Infrastructure Fund have been successful.The NSW Government has committed $45 million for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Legacy Infrastructure Fund, to provide funding for infrastructure projects that will deliver long-term and legacy benefits for local communities within the Central-West Orana REZ.Key projects confirmed for Cassilis include:Cassilis Sewage Treatment Plant $9.8 million to construct a Sewage Treatment Plant and reticulation system to service properties within the village of Cassilis.
