New pump station approved for Portsmith

New pump station approved for Portsmith MEDIA RELEASE Published: 26 August 2020. (Note: information was correct at date of publication but may have since been changed or superseded.) Council has approved a $1.4 million project for the construction of a new pump station in Buchan St, Portsmith and the upgrade of an existing sewage pump station at Rainy Mountain Park, Smithfield.Both pump stations are more than 30 years old and have been identified for renewal to meet existing and future sewage loads in their respective catchments.The Buchan St pump station will be relocated to a safer location across the street which will improve operator safety, ongoing costs and reliability of the asset.
