Queens Park amenities to be upgraded

Toowoomba Regional Council Portfolio Leader for Environment and Community Services Cr Tim McMahon said both projects were the latest instalments of the $12 million Queens Park Revitalisation project which is jointly funded by the Queensland Government’s Building our Regions program and Toowoomba Regional Council. “Almost $2.8 million has been invested in Toowoomba as part of the Round 5 of the Building our Regions (BoR) program, supporting 18 jobs during the construction phase and helping to drive the region’s economic recovery,” he said. “Building our Regions has been a key component of Queensland’s plan for economic recovery and we expect the program to continue to deliver for Queenslanders living in regional and remote communities.” Cr McMahon said the Botanic Gardens Amenities upgrade project would include demolition of the existing amenities building and construction of a new amenities building in its place.
