Maria Creek Road, Anduramba culvert replacement works part of Betterment program

This project is one of nine projects approved under the Betterment program as part of the wider 2022 Flood Recovery Program Toowoomba Regional Council Construction and Maintenance (Infrastructure Services) portfolio spokesperson, Cr Carol Taylor, said Maria Creek culvert was one of the worst flood-affected roads in the Region, and had been identified as one of nine projects to receive additional funding to improve flood resilience. The other Betterment projects currently underway include: Remediation and improvement work on the rock chute in Kearney Street Scour protection and other improvements at Umbiram Road for greater flood resilience Floodway upgrade at Blaxland Road for greater flood resilience; and Floodway upgrade at Westbrook-Wyreema Road for greater flood resilience. “Once again, I continue to extend my sincere gratitude to the community for their patience and understanding as we work to restore our road network across the Region.” For more information on the program, visit Council’s Flood Recovery Program webpage  Enquiries can be directed to Council on 131 872.
