Public notice: Boil water in Anakie to continue over Christmas period

Please be advised the boil water notice for Anakie residents remains in place during the Christmas and New Year period.

Bottled water is available for collection at the Anakie Police Station.

Residents are asked to use boiled water:

Bring water to a rolling boil and allow it to cool. Store water in a clean container with a lid and refrigerate.

Cooled boiled water should be used for:

drinking, cooking, washing raw foods (such as seafood or salads), making ice, pets drinking water and cleaning teeth dishes should be washed in hot, soapy water.

Council is working to alleviate the problem and will update the community weekly until resolved. Precautions should be taken until further notice.
