Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is calling for public feedback on the proposed replacement Subordinate Local Law No. 1.15 (Carrying Out Works on a Road or Interfering with a Road or its Operation) 2024.

Council’s December Ordinary Meeting recently (Tuesday, December 10, 2024) endorsed seeking public comments on the proposed replacement Subordinate Local Law No. 1.15, which is designed to manage footpath and road closure applications.
Cr Manteufel said residents were encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to comment on the proposed subordinate local law.
“This subordinate local law is central to managing how works are conducted on the Region’s roads or how interference with roads and their operations is regulated,” Cr Manteufel said.
“The existing local law, which was adopted in 2020, has served its purpose. This is an opportunity to make improvements to the process to better serve our community and incorporate best practice in managing road-related works.”
Written submissions in support of, or objecting to, the proposed subordinate local law, are invited during the consultation period. Submissions close at 5pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
