Temporary closure of Esplanade Dining Precinct for Lantern Festival

The Esplanade Dining Precinct (from Shields St to Aplin St) will be closed for Chinese New Year Lantern Festival on Saturday 15 February, from 4pm to 8pm (subject to crowd numbers) for public safety.Council staff will be on site to assist should emergency access be required.Celebrations include activities on the Esplanade Lagoon Plaza and the area alongside McDonalds, food and merchandise markets, and a fireworks display.Please observe and obey signs advising the changes to normal traffic and pedestrian conditions, and follow any directions and detours as sign posted.Council appreciates your patience and cooperation during this event.
