96-102 Queen Street, Ayr – Water upgrade works and loss of water supply Posted on 3rd Sep 2019Burdekin Shire Council wishes to advise that construction works to upgrade water infrastructure on the footpath in front of 96 – 102 Queen Street, Ayr will commence at 7:00am on Sunday 8th September 2019 continuing until approximately Monday 9th September 2019, weather permitting.As a result of these works, temporary traffic management controls will be in place.  Motorists and pedestrians are asked to obey all directional signs and any instructions from onsite personnel for their own safety and the safety of Council’s workforce.Council advises that all businesses located at 96 – 102 Queen Street, Ayr will experience a loss of water supply from 7:00am to 5:00pm Sunday 8th September 2019.  You are advised to store sufficient drinking water prior to 7:00am on Sunday 8th September 2019 for use during this time.Burdekin Shire Council thanks residents, businesses and road users in anticipation of their patience during the construction period.For further information please visit Council’s website www.burdekin.qld.gov.au or contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on (07) 4783 9800.
