Two-day closure of Muddy’s Playground wet areas

Two-day closure of Muddy’s Playground wet areas

Muddy’s Playground wet areas on the Esplanade will be closed on Tuesday 15 October and Wednesday 16 October to allow testing on the area’s underground pumps and pipework. It’s part of Council’s plans to renew the 20-year-old facility. Before proceeding with more detailed plans for the area’s renewal, Council needs to better understand the condition and capacity of the underground water infrastructure.A team will be undertaking pressure testing, balance tank cleaning and camera inspections of the return lines. This unfortunately requires the temporary closure of the wet areas. The playground will remain open as we are trying to minimise disruption as much as possible.
