Livingstone Shire Fire Disaster Update #6: Community urged to keep out of fire-affected areas

While some residents have been able to return to their properties overnight, the community is being urged to keep away from the fire-affected areas unless it’s absolutely necessary.The Local Disaster Management Group met this morning to discuss the current fire situation as emergency services and community agencies continue to work around the clock to help residents return safely to their properties.LDMG Chair and Mayor Bill Ludwig emphasised the importance of the community listening to the messages of caution from emergency authorities, and not to enter those areas impacted by the devastating fires.
