UPDATE: Monday 8 April 2024With wet weather conditions having eased, Redland City Council has closed its additional sandbagging stations at the following locations: Council Depot, DunwichCouncil Depot, Russell IslandCouncil Depot, Macleay IslandNuway Landscape Supplies, ThornlandsKarragarra Island Fire StationCoochiemudlo Island Fire Station Council’s permanent stations at Bayview Conservation Area, Redland Bay (6.30am-6pm) and Capalaba Regional Park (6am to 10pm) remain open.Previous advisory 4 April 2024With the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a significant rain event for south-east Queensland, Redland City Council has opened sandbagging stations for the community.For the latest advice from the Bureau of Meteorology, including severe weather warnings, visit bom.gov.au.To opt in to receive Redlands Coast Alerts, visit Council’s Disaster Dashboard.NOTE: Enclosed shoes must be worn at all Council sandbagging stations.Permanent stations are open at the following locations: Capalaba Regional Park car park: 13-19 Pittwin Road North, Capalaba.
