Cooby Dam spillway picnic area re-opens to public

Toowoomba Regional Council Project Services portfolio spokesperson, Cr Gary Gardner, said he is pleased to see the community picnic area reopen for residents to enjoy, now that the landslip adjacent to the access road has been repaired. “The above works are an important part of the 2022 Flood Recovery Program, with assistance provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). “Once again, I thank our community for their ongoing patience as we continue to repair our road network as part of the 2022 Flood Recovery Program, which is now more than 75% complete” Cr Gardner said.
