Campbelltown Council has initiated a process to review the Boundary between the Campbelltown Council and Adealide Hills Council area.
The area in review is shown in the map (below) and considers moving the Campbelltown Boundary east so that Woodforde and the remaining area of Rostrevor become part of Campbelltown Council.
The reason that Council is investigating this Boundary Realignment is that we believe there are strong Community of interests as the residents in these areas generally spend a lot of their time in the Campbelltown Council area. Whilst part of the area borders the beautiful hills face zone it is also considered that the area generally has a metropolitan feel with some residents from the area indicating that they associate more with a metropolitan lifestyle rather than a hills lifestyle.
Council is only in the very early stages of this investigation and there is much work to do. When Council has gathered some data and information, if that data shows that there are benefits for both Councils and their residents, community consultation will occur. Once community feedback has been obtained and reviewed the proposal will then be sent to the Boundaries Commission who will conduct their own investigation with the Local Government Minister being the final decision maker.
Council will provide updates on this page however if you would like any more information or would like to express a view please email [email protected]
