Contestants participating in the Christmas Cracker photo competition are hereinafter referred to as the “Participants.”To be eligible to take part in the Contest, the participants must have a valid Facebook or Instagram account.Entry is free and is open to residents of Australia who are 15 years or over.Prize will be awarded to guardians of any winner less than 18 years of age.Participant’s names and images may be published on the Berri Barmera Council (BBC) Facebook, or Instagram page. If you are not willing for these uses or disclosures to occur, you cannot participate in the Promotion.Selfies taken with children in them and or participants under the ages of 18 years of age entering the competition must have the consent of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians uploading an image to BBC social media pages will be deemed as having given consent. The consenting parent/guardian is then bound by these Terms and Conditions.To participate in the photo competition, the Participants must follow following steps:Log into Facebook or InstagramBe a Follower of the Berri Barmera Council Facebook page or Berri Barmera Council Instagram pagePost your respective Selfie/s on either the Berri Barmera Council Facebook page or Berri Barmera Council Instagram page (starting 10 December 2023) using the hash tag #BBCrackingXmasTag the business you are taking the photo in front of and include in the photo the Christmas crackerParticipants can post as many entries as possible on the participation platforms, however:Shall not use multiple Facebook or Instagram accounts to participate in the same contest. Any single participant found using or participating through multiple accounts in the contest, shall be disqualified immediately and shall not be entitled to win any prizes and shall be barred from participating in any future contestsEach participants entry must use a different 'cracker location' image, multiple entries using the same cracker or same image will not be accepted.Eligible entries must include the business name and the appropriate 'cracker' image in the participant's comments post.Any person or participant posting  negative comments about the decision of the Berri Barmera Council’s panel shall immediately be disqualified from all future contests of the Berri Barmera Council.Each eligible entry submitted by the Participants will be evaluated by the panel appointed by the Berri Barmera Council. The panel will select one winner after the contest ends on 31 December. The selection will be based on the most quality response submitted by the Participant/s on or before 31 December 2023. The winner will be announced on 7 of January 2023 (via our Facebook/Instagram and website)The Berri Barmera Council’s decision on the selection of the winner will be final and binding on all the Participants. No correspondence, clarification, explanation in this regard will be entertained by the Berri Barmera Council.All responses and entries to this Contest must be original and conform to decency guidelines. Any response deemed to contain content that depicts violence, immoral, unethical, illegal, anti-social, racial, political, anti-religious, sexual or any other inflammatory, defamatory, or objectionable material will be blocked from further participation and comments removed from the social media site. The Berri Barmera Council reserves the right to initiate legal action against such Participants.The winners will be contacted within 14 days of the conclusion of Contest, by way of direct message on the Facebook or Instagram account of the winner. In the event of no response/acknowledgement from the concerned winner to the communication within 30 days, then his/her prize will be forfeited.The prize(s) will be distributed to the winners on submission of any necessary documentation and participants will be required to pick up prizes in person at a Berri location. If the winner fails to collect the said prize within 30 days from the acknowledgement of the prize win, then the prize stands forfeited.The Berri Barmera Council reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.The Berri Barmera Council may also cancel or suspend this competition if an event beyond the control of the Berri Barmera Council corrupts or affects the fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this competition.The Berri Barmera Council will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this competition.
