Easter and ANZAC Day holiday hours – 2025

As we approach the Easter and ANZAC Day public holidays, please note the following changes to the operating hours of Council services and facilities:

Customer Service Centre (Counter and Phone Service)

Closed: Friday 18 April to Tuesday 22 April Open reduced hours: Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 April, 9:00am – 1:00pm Closed: Friday 25 April (ANZAC Day)

Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, 28 April 2025 from 9:00am.

For urgent matters outside these hours, please visit our website huonvalley.tas.gov.au where you can access our online services.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Kerbside Waste Collection

No collection on Good Friday. Friday 18 April collection will occur on Saturday 19 April instead.

All other collections will occur as usual.

Southbridge Waste Transfer Station

Closed: Good Friday 18 April ANZAC Day 25 April: open from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Dover Waste Transfer Station

Cygnet Waste Transfer Station

No changes to regular hours.

Dover Medical Centre

Closed: Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April Open: Tuesday 22 April to Thursday 24 April as usual Closed: Friday 25 April (ANZAC Day)

Geeveston Medical Centre

Open on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 April as usual

Childcare Centres

Open as usual on non-public holidays Closed: Good Friday 18 April Easter Monday 21 April Easter Tuesday 22 April ANZAC Day Friday 25 April

Port Huon Sports & Aquatic Centre

Huonville Swimming Pool
