COMPLIANCE OFFICER – DEVELOPMENT

The Council has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join the Community, Growth and Development team.  This position is responsible for effectively implementing the Council’s development compliance functions in a professional and timely manner, with a focus on Building, Plumbing and Land Use Planning.   We pride ourselves on a customer-focused approach helping people understand and navigate Tasmania’s complex development compliance functions making it easier for applicants to undertake appropriate development in a sustainable manner.    With the Council having recently embarked on a cultural journey, where the focus is on the wellbeing of our people and the sustainable growth of our community, there has never been a more exciting time to join our team.   Essential:   A minimum certificate IV level qualification in Local Government, Building, Land Use Planning, investigations or other related field and at least three years’ experience in a similar role OR in one of the following areas:   Building, plumbing or a related trade/profession;   Land use planning;   Environmental health;   Permit Authority.   Salary and conditions: Full-time position.  Central Coast Council’s Enterprise Agreement – $89,676 (Professional Officer Level).    Applications must be on the prescribed form, indicate the position you are applying for, address the Selection Criteria in the Position Description and be emailed to [email protected]   The Employment Information Package and Application Form are available to download below:   Employment Information Package   Application Form   For any enquiries please phone (03) 6429 8956.   Applications close at 4 pm on Friday 19 July 2024.
