“The Strathbogie Shire Australia Day Award Ceremonies are a great way to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of some of our amazing community members.” Mayor McClaren said there has been a shortage in nominations for the young citizen awards in the past few years. “We know there are many young people doing wonderful things for our community, so we really encourage people to nominate a young person who deserves recognition.” The following award categories are open for nominations: Community Organisation of the Year Community Event of the Year (event occurred after 27/01/2019) Junior Citizen of the Year (under 15yrs at 26/01/2020) Young Citizen of the Year (between 15-25yrs at 26/01/2020) Citizen of the Year (over 25yrs at 26/01/2020) Avenel General Store, Queen Street Euroa Council Offices, 109A Binney Street or Euroa Hub, 50 Binney Street Longwood General Store, 12 Down Street Nagambie Visitor Information Centre, 293 High Street Strathbogie General Store, 30 Main Street Violet Town Post Office, 27 Cowslip Street To nominate someone, please fill in the online form here.
