Gardening enthusiasts or those looking to make a Christmas gift are encouraged to register for two succulent centrepiece workshops occurring at two Gannawarra Library Service branches next month.
Free workshops will be held at the Cohuna Library on Monday, 2 December from 10.30am and Kerang’s Sir John Gorton Library on Tuesday, 3 December from 10.30am, with spaces set to book out quickly.
“The Gannawarra Library Service held a similar program leading up to Mother’s Day earlier this year which was a success, and we hope these workshops generate a similar response,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“The succulent centrepiece workshop is an opportunity to meet other people in the community and to have conversations while creating a floral centrepiece that can be used to adorn any table.”
All materials to create a succulent table centrepiece will be provided, with those attending also able to bring along secateurs, gloves and any succulent cuttings up to 15 centimetres long they may wish to use or to share with other participants.
Bookings for this special event are essential. For more information and to book your spot, phone the Gannawarra Library Service on (03) 5452 1546.
The workshops are supported by Victorian and Commonwealth Governments under the Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) as part of the Gannawarra Community Flood Recovery Program.
