Ararat Rural City’s Volunteer Expo will make a return next month, showcasing the municipality’s diverse range of community volunteer groups and organisations.
The Expo will provide the perfect opportunity for volunteer groups to proudly share their mission, provide a glimpse into their group’s activities, and network with prospective volunteers to highlight the invaluable role that volunteers play in the community.
For those interested in unlocking a new passion, giving back to their community and making new connections, the Volunteer Expo is also the perfect place to learn more about Ararat Rural City’s many volunteer organisations who are seeking enthusiastic and skilled new members.
From local sports such as athletics, cricket and netball, to local history, creative arts, faith, health and wellbeing, and more, there are many new opportunities waiting to be discovered.
The Volunteer Expo will be held in collaboration with the Ararat Market on Sunday 13 April 2025 at Elizabeth Park from 7.30am – 1pm. Community volunteer groups interested in participating must register their attendance via the QR code, or visit Trybooking to register.
The Volunteer Expo also kicks off an early celebration of National Volunteer Week, which will be next held on 19-25 May 2025.
"Volunteering provides a unique opportunity to meaningfully contribute your time, unique skills and knowledge towards making a tangible difference in our community,” says Ararat Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Jo Armstrong.
“I encourage all residents to attend and explore the diverse opportunities on show at the Volunteer Expo, meet with some of our wonderful volunteer groups and learn more about how you can get involved.”
