A draft masterplan has been prepared for Puffing Billy Place Reserve in Emerald and Council invites community feedback on the design options.
Council has incorporated feedback from the first round of community consultation to develop draft masterplans for the future redevelopment of Puffing Billy Reserve that aims to encourage visitation to the reserve and nearby town centre.
The draft masterplans are now open for community feedback and Council is seeking feedback from all park users of all ages, on the types of park furniture and playground design they prefer.
The community can view the draft Masterplan and provide input in various ways:
Attend a pop up in the Park with Aligned Leisure Wednesday 9 April 2025, from 1-3pm Puffing Billy Train Playground, Emerald, 13 Kilvington Dr, Emerald VIC 3782 Attend a pop up in the park with Council Tuesday 6 May 2025, from 3-5pm Puffing Billy Train Playground, Emerald, 13 Kilvington Dr, Emerald VIC 3782This consultation opportunity will be opened until Sunday 18 May.
Feedback received during this consultation period will inform the final masterplan that that will be presented to Council for adoption.
The implementation of the masterplan will be subject to funding and will be used to advocate for funding from other levels of government.
