Cambridge Reserve Dog Off-leash Park

Wyndham’s furry friends and their owners are about to have a new favourite place to play, with a brand-new dog off-leash park coming to Cambridge Reserve in Hoppers Crossing.  The $450,000 dog off-leash park will feature secure fencing with double gates to provide peace of mind for owners and a drink fountain to keep pups cool and hydrated.  It will also include an active zone equipped with agility equipment for energetic dogs, a new path network linking into the existing paths, as well as landscaping and new bench seating which will create a welcoming space for both dogs and their owners.  Construction is set to begin in early 2025 and is expected to be complete by mid-2025.  Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw emphasised the importance of providing high quality open spaces.  “Creating spaces like this exciting new dog off-leash park, enhances Wyndham’s liveability and brings the community together to support healthy and active lifestyles.”  The Grange Ward Councillor, Shannon McGuire echoed similar sentiments, stating, “this is a fantastic addition to the Cambridge Reserve, providing the Hoppers Crossing community with high quality amenities that they can enjoy with their beloved pets.”  Wyndham City Council thanks the Victorian Government for their  $350,000 contribution to this project through the New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program.  Keep up to date with the continued progress on this and Wyndham City’s other capital works projects at: www.wyndham.vic.gov.au/capitalworksdashboard
