A new Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Hub will soon open in Ararat, joining a network of 20 hubs across the state delivering free or low-cost care to women, including contraception, medical abortion, referral for surgical abortion and sexual health testing and treatment. Part of a $153 million women’s health package from the Victorian State Government, the hubs are designed to transform the way women’s health issues are treated, “breaking down barriers women and girls face in accessing affordable and comprehensive care.”The Government Inquiry into Women’s Pain is also still underway, and Victorian women are encouraged to join the public submission and purvey process to add to the 9,000 responses already received.
