Who’s Your Local Legend? Nominations for Australia Day Awards Open Now

Ararat Rural City residents are encouraged to nominate their heroes within the municipality for the 2025 Australia Day Awards, which recognise the efforts of those who go above and beyond for our community.Council is now accepting nominations within four categories for the 2025 Australia Day Awards, the winners of which will be announced on Australia Day (26 January) 2025.The four categories are Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Community Project of the Year.Recognising our Citizen of the Year – a person who dedicates themselves to improving our community – inspires others to get involved and contribute to our shared well-being.
