Room for creativity in Hurlingham Preschool upgrade

Room for creativity in Hurlingham Preschool upgrade

We’re increasing the indoor play space at Hurlingham Preschool and improving the building’s amenities and functionality.  Work begins on 31 August 2020 on reimagining the building to include a larger indoor play space with demonstration kitchen; a new meeting room for teachers and parents; extended and remodelled bathroom amenities for children and staff; and a large ancillary space which can be used for small group activities such as yoga, mindfulness or STEM.  Council has worked closely with preschool management to ensure the design reflects Hurlingham Preschool’s values and provides plenty of indoor and outdoor space to explore, create and learn, while maintaining the preschool’s close connection to its natural setting.  To ensure safety and the least disruption to children and teachers during construction works, the preschool has temporarily relocated to the nearby former Brighton Angler’s Club for terms three and four.
