New pedestrian pathways

We’re building new footpaths on three Bayside streets to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility in Highett and Brighton.  These upgrades are part of Bayside City Council’s ongoing capital program to address missing links in the footpath network, and improve pedestrian safety on key walking routes in Bayside.  Watch out for works in these areas:  Activity Location Construction start date Construction of new footpaths and pram ramps Along the south side of Eddie Street between Tibrockney Street and Beaumaris Parade, Highett 7 April 2020 Along the west side of Snooks Court between Bay Street and  Sheridan Court, Brighton 14 April 2020 Construction of new footpaths Along the south side of Lindsay Street between Carpenter Street and Metro Trains Carpark, Brighton 20 April 2020 Throughout the works, roads will remain open with unrestricted access to properties, however these roads may be more congested than usual.
