Intention to lease Hangar 21 Published on 19 February 2020 NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEASE Benalla Rural City Council (Council) gives notice under Section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) of its intention to enter into a lease with the Benalla Aero Club in respect of the premises described below (Proposal). The premises are known as Hangar 21, Benalla Airport, Samaria Road, Benalla Victoria 3672 (Premises).  The principal terms of the lease will be:  A term of five years commencing on 1 November 2019 with an option for four further terms of five years (Term).  A commencement rent will be calculated at $5.09 per square metre of the area of the Premises per annum plus the Fire Services Levy and GST.  Rent will be reviewed annually by CPI adjustment on each anniversary of the commencement date of the lease, except for the 5th anniversary on which the rent will be reviewed to market value.  Any person may make a submission on the Proposal under Section 223 of the Act and must do so by Friday 20 March 2020.
