Free green waste drop-off for storm impacted residents

Free green waste drop-off for storm impacted residents Published: 6 September 2024 To support residents impacted by the recent storms, Cardinia Shire Council is providing an additional free green waste drop-off event in Lysterfield.   This transfer station will be accepting residential amounts of green waste including tree branches and trunks (up to 30 centimetres wide and 1 metre long), weeds, grass clippings, leaves, and flowers.      Event details   Date: Tuesday 10 to Sunday 22 September   Location: Cleanaway Resource Recovery Centre (840 Wellington Rd, Lysterfield)  Opening hours: 7:30am – 3:30pm weekdays, 8:30am - 11:30am weekends   Residents must present photo ID as proof of residence within Cardinia Shire to access the free service.      Waste will only be accepted from residential vehicles and trailers; commercial business operators cannot use this service.    Any residents who have spoilt food waste as a result of the recent power outages can dispose of food in additional Council bins provided at Gembrook, Cockatoo, Emerald and Garfield Recreation Reserves.  For more info, go to www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/dropoff  For more info on other ways to manage your green waste in Cardinia Shire, go to www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/greenwaste   Feeds from the web General news Current issues Jobs news Procurement news
